New Years Eve celebrations in Gananoque & 1000 Islands.

Apologies if you’re one of the many visitors arriving here after searching Google for “New Years Eve Gananoque” or similar.

I’m sure there’s probably lots going on New Years Eve 2012 in Gananoque, however info seems to be hard to find. Seemingly the majority of Gananoque eateries deem it’s not worth the effort to update their websites with New Years menus & events.

Gananoque Ribfest 2011

Gananoque Ribfest is held over the Canada Day long weekend in the Town Hall Park, in the heart of the beautiful town of Gananoque, the gateway to the world famous 1000 Islands.

The Ribfest is held over the Canada Day long weekend in the Town Hall Park in the heart of the beautiful town of Gananoque, the gateway to the world famous 1000 Islands.

Now in its 6th year, this popular event is jointly organized and hosted by the Rotary Club and the Lions Club of Gananoque. It attracts well over 20,000 visitors who come to enjoy live music, great food and some fantastic deals. Children are delighted with the free pony rides and the other events and attractions designed especially for them.

On the evening of Canada Day, we hold a fantastic fireworks display to celebrate the birthday of our great country.

The Ribfest is a GREEN event. We have recycling stations places around the park to make it easy for everyone to help keep the area clean and reduce waste.

Ribfest is Pet-free so please don’t bring your pets.

All proceeds from this fundraising event are returned back to the community through charitable organizations who receive donations from both the Rotary Club of Gananoque and the Lions Club of Gananoque.

We look forward to seeing you at the 2011 Family Ribfest!

Easter Baskets, Bonnets, and the Photo Bunny

The Downtown Businesses (BIA) and the Gananoque Curling Club presents an Easter Egg hunt in the Gananoque Town Park, this Saturday.

Other events include The Kingston Historic Costume Promendade , Face painting, Music and Treats.

Look for the Bunny Hop Stop Easter Egg in store windows for Treats inside .

Local growers, caterers, markets & restaurants join forces to create their annual feast in support of the 1000 Islands Playhouse.

Come and share the incredible flavours of local food and beverages produced here in Eastern Ontario, donated in support of the Playhouse and served up by our very own growers, caterers, markets, and restaurants. Then attend the opening night performance of The Marvelous Wonderettes!
