Susan Friesen is an established North American artist. She was born in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada and graduated from the Ontario College of Art in Toronto in 1982.She lived for many years in St. Paul, painting the prairies and gardens and skies of Minnesota.
In 1997, she moved back to Canada and found her way to Amherst Island, the first and largest of the Thousand Islands in the St. Lawrence River.
