How do you spell Santa Claus or Clause ???

Don’t know if this is one of those Canadian, US , or “proper” English things, but I had never ever seen Santa Claus spelt with an “e” on the end until recently.
UPDATE – It’s Disney’s Fault!!, the spelling with an “e” on the end seemingly comes from the Tim Allen ” The Santa Clause” movie.santa clause clause gananoque downtown bia website

Anyway, Merry Christmas or Xmas to everyone in Gananoque, Ganonoque, Gananockway, Ganaockway, and 1000 or Thousand Islands Ontario Canada.

PS – next Summer are we going to the Theatre in Gananoque, or the Theater?
