Chalk the Walk Festival includes chalk art works, music, dancing and a play about wildlife.  All festivities to be held in the Town Park 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Theme of of this year’s festival is to draw how we could ‘change our world for wildlife’ in partnership with the Canadian Wildlife Federation.
“We are thrilled that the festival has been drawn to our education campaign for the International Year of Forests , which encourages stewardship,” said Wade Luzny, CEO-Executive Vice President of the Canadian Wildlife Federation. “By adopting our education  theme, Change Your World For Wildlife, the festival is inspiring an appreciation of forests as important habitat for a wide variety of species.”
All artists welcome to participate – children and adults – share your love of drawing or just come to take in the event.  Registration cost for a participating artist is $2.00, chalk is supplied free.
