Former TLTI employee charged

Lansdowne – The Ontario Provincial Police in
Leeds County have charged a township employee with numerous charges in relation to
a theft investigation.
In 2010 police were advised of an allegation of
township funds that had gone missing from the Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands.
Members of the Leeds County Crime Unit have arrested and charged 29 year old Jennifer Lawson who resides in the same township.
Lawson was an employee at the time.
Charges include Theft Over $5000, Breach of Trust, 10 counts of Uttering a Forged Document, and 10 counts of Making a Forged Document.
She was released pending a court date of the 29th of April 2011 at Ontario Court Provincial
Division, Brockville to answer to her charges.
Detective Constable Jason VanSpriel of the Leeds County Crime Unit is leading this investigation.
