Thursday, July 11, 2013 – 10:00am to Sunday, July 14, 2013 – 5:00am.

Gananoque goes to the Pirates with a Captain Jack Sparrow look-a-like contest, children’s activities in Town Hall Park and at the Gananoque Boat Line docks.

Downtown Gananoque Pirate Days Midway Schedule
Thursday July 11th 5pm to 11pm
Friday July 12th 5pm to 11pm
Saturday July 13th 11am to 11pm
Sunday July 14th noon to 4pm

Tickets on sale at the Midway ticket booth in the park.

Clark’s Shuttle Bus on Saturday ONLY leaves the Pirate Festival starting at 11am for a drop off at Town Park. Departs Town Park at 11:30am for a drop off Downtown. Departs Downtown at 11:45am to return to the Pirate Festival. Shuttle will be on this hourly schedule until 6pm.

gananoque bia pirate festival 1000 islandsI would say check the BIA website but that says the Midway only runs July 12-13 which is incorrect, and also doesn’t mention the shuttle bus, so calling is probably better if you need any more info!

Dinner with Captain Jack
7:30 pm: Movie night: Two piraty adventured movies on the shores of the might St. Lawrence
BUSKERS AND ARTISANS FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY DURING VILLAGE HOURS
Friday, July 12
12 NOON TO 7 PM: Waterfront pirate village kids zone all day; crafts 3 legged race, obstacle course, bouncy castle and more.
1:00 to 2:30 pm: Capt’n Tor and the Naer-Do-Well-Cads
3:00 pm The Irish Roots Band
6:30 pm: All participants meet at Recreation Centre for parade line up. All welcome to join
7:30 pm: Parade from Rec Centre to waterfront.
8:30 PM: MC welcome and political announcements
9:00 pm: Jolly Rogers band on waterfront stage
9:45 pm: Poor Angus on waterfront stage

 

Saturday, July 13
11 am to 7 pm: Waterfront pirate village kids zone all day; crafts 3 legged race, obstacle course, bouncy castle and more.
11 am: Pirate puppet show and puppet workshop
12:00 noon: Capt’n Tor and the Naer-Do-Well-Cads
2:00 pm: 2nd Annual Walk the Plank Bellyflop contest
3:30 pm: Poor Angus
4:30 pm: Pirate puppet show and puppet workshop
7:00 pm- Live entertainment in Pirate Village TBA
8:00 pm-Celtic Kitchen Party
11 pm – Park Closes

Sunday, July 14
11 am to 3:00 pm
Waterfront Pirate Village Kids Zone

12:30 pm: Best Pirate Costume (Registration begins at 12 noon in Joel Stone Heritage Park)
12:45 pm: Tallest Tale Contest. Share your wildest pirate tale for auspiscious “Medal for Bragging Rights”
