Officers of the Gananoque Police Service investigated 93 occurrences during the seven day
period ending November 17th, 2013. This included 18 criminal occurrences and 12 calls to
911 for assistance. Officers conducted 17 traffic stops resulting in 12 charges and 21 cautions under the Highway Traffic Act.
November 12th, 2013
Officers responded to a report of an assault at a Sydenham street address. As a result of an
investigation, a 15-year-old male was arrested and charged with 2 counts of assault, 3 counts of uttering threats, 2 counts of fail to comply with disposition, and 4 counts of fail to comply with recognizance. The youth was subsequently held for bail.
November 16th, 2013
Officers received a report of several cars having been damaged overnight at the Gananoque Chev Olds parking lot on King Street East. Evidence from the scene was obtained, and an investigation is on-going. Officers responded to a family dispute at a King St West residence, resulting in the arrest of a 14-year-old female for Breach of Peace. The youth was cautioned under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, and released unconditionally into the care of her parents.
November 17th, 2013
Officers received a report of a break and enter at an Arthur Street residence’s garage
sometime in the past two weeks. The complainant listed several items that were stolen with a total value of $120. Investigation continuing.
