New logo for Town of Gananoque

The Town of Gananoque has a new official town logo to celebrate  the bicentennial of the War of 1812 next year.

The logo was designed by Gananoque Cultural and Heritage coordinator Pam Staples. “We wanted something to distinguish us as well as promotional material,” said Staples. “We wanted to set ourselves apart.”

The logo incorporates the British flag and the colours red, white and blue to represent our past as well as the Americans and their attack on Gananoque, the waves are incorporated to symbolize Gananoque on the St. Lawrence River and are used on the town’s web site. The slogan represents the War of 1812 and it’s beginnings here in Gananoque.
