Severe thunderstorm watch for Gananoque – Mallorytown

Severe thunderstorms possibly this afternoon and early this evening.. This is an alert to the potential development of severe thunderstorms with large hail, damaging winds or heavy rainfall..Monitor weather conditions and listen for updated bulletins.

A cold front is expected to sweep across Eastern Ontario this afternoon and early this evening. A warm and humid airmass over these regions will provide sufficient energy for strong thunderstorms to develop this afternoon into early this evening over these areas. Some of these thunderstorms may become severe with large hail, damaging winds, and torrential downpours. There is a lesser risk of an isolated funnel cloud or tornado.
